REFUSE TO HOLD GRUDGES, FORGIVE

Apostle Paul while addressing a matter in the Church at Corinth made a profound revelation in our opening scripture. He was addressing a sin committed by one of the members and he said _”If you forgive anyone anything, I too forgive that one; and what I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, has been for your sakes in the presence of Christ.”(2 Corinthians 2:10)._ And he explains the reason for such act of forgiveness as “To keep Satan from getting the advantage over us; for we are not ignorant of his wiles and intentions” (2 Corinthians 2:10)._ He knew that holding unto unforgiveness can be a breeding ground for the devil to have advantage of the Church.

*This revelation carries a weight of God’s divine plan that each one can enjoy and receive forgiveness from God and other brethren.* Forgiving doesn’t mean you are condoning sin but fulfilling the love of Christ. As a wise person, you can always put the wiles and intentions of the devil to nothing. The devil always carries a bad thought or purpose against the brethren. He is the great accuser. God’s word admonishes on how we should respond to those who fall into wrong as Christians. Consider this _”Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted” (Galatians 6:1)._

Are you spiritual ? Are you matured ? Do you have the spirit of gentleness and walk in the love of Christ? Then don’t hold grudges. Forgive that person lest Satan can have advantage to either make that person deny Christ and also tag the body of Christ as unloving. *The devil want the person who has fallen into sin to deny Christ and it is our attitude which can reinstate that person to stay in Christ.* Cherished one, we are not ignorant of the devices of the devil. We are very aware of his schemes to steal, kill and destroy. *So we stand strong by praying for one another and forgive others from our hearts as Christ did for us.* By so doing, the devil has no stronghold to stand. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
_Ever-Glorious Father, thank for forgiving me all my sins through Your Son. With the spirit of love and gentleness, I also reach out to forgive others to prevent the devil to have advantage of me. For I am not ignorant of his devices. I walk in love and forgiveness in Jesus Name._
