BLISSFUL greetings, Cherished one. After you are born again, there are some things to do in order to grow spiritually. Your growth will reflect in your words, thinking and lifestyle. Growth is a necessity, not optional as a believer. Like physical growth, spiritual growth is intentional, not automatic. Physically, you take in energy-given foods, bodybuilding and protective foods to build up your bodily system.
Taking a balanced diet and keeping other healthy tips help your body to grow well. In the same vein, you must consciously or deliberately decide to embark on intentional spiritual growth. The newly born again has responsibilities to engage in order to grow. Therefore, our focal text says, like newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow by it. So, first of all, growth comes as you earnestly desire or crave the pure word of God. There must be a continuous craving for unadulterated spiritual milk.
The pure milk of the word based on the gospel of Christ will nurture and nourish you into growth. Apostle Peter called them “newborn babes” because he still saw a display of carnal attitudes in them in 1 Peter 2:1. And the best antidote to carnality is giving yourself to the pure word of God. Pursue your desire to grow by studying the word of God with the help of the Holy Spirit. Submit to ministers of God called to teach and preach the word for conscious learning. As you study the word, you will be feeding your faith and renewing your mind for ultimate growth. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
Daddy, I thank You for the privilege to be taught Your word. I humbly submit to the authority of Your word and guidance of Your Spirit for revelation, enlightenment and illumination unto growth. My desire for spiritual things keeps growing as I fellowship with You. I, therefore enjoy the benefits of my passion for growth in Jesus Mighty Name. Amen !_
