24/7 DOXA Content, 13th January-THE SANCTIFIED CHURCH

GLORIOUS greetings, Cherished one. Ephesians 5:25 says Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for her. In other words, Christ offered His total self as a sacrifice for the Church. *He was willing to lay down His life for the Church because He knew the benefits that will come upon the Church.* Beloved, Christ loved and gave Himself for you for a reason. When you understand the love and sacrifice of Christ for you as the Church, you will never downplay your Christian life.

He loved you intentionally and died for you intentionally for your benefit. Our focal text opines some of the reasons Christ loved and gave Himself for the Church. One, so that He might sanctify and cleanse the Church. *There was a need for sanctification because the bride was exposed to sin and ungodliness.* To sanctify means to make holy, set apart, separate and consecrate. He sanctified you by His blood to make free from the power devil and sin. So you are the sanctified church. Yes, you are holy (consecrated) by His precious blood (Hebrews 10:29).

He also gave Himself to cleanse the church. Thus, to purify from all defilement and faults. This he did by giving us His unadulterated word. Heeding to His word can cleanse you from all manner of uncleanness. He said in John 15:3 _“You are clean already because of the word that I have spoken to you._ In conclusion, the love and offering of Christ to the Church were to sanctify and make the Church (His bride) clean. *No good husband leaves the wife in the same state he met her. Understand this revelation and walk as a sanctified and cleansed church in heart, mind and deeds.* The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always. Amen !

PRAYER

_Thank You Precious Lord and master Jesus Christ for loving and giving Yourself for me to sanctify and clean me by the washing of Your Word. By the help of Your Spirit, I walk in sanctification and cleanliness in heart, mind and deeds to the glory of Your Name. Hallelujah!_
