Sammie Okposo Leads Worship & Declarations At #EndSars Protest Ground
Award winning Gospel music minister of international repute Sammie Okposo has led protesters in worship and prophetic declarations at the protest ground, Lekki Toll Gate on Tuesday the 13th of October 2020.
Sammie Okposo who has been very vocal lending his voice to the #EndSars protest since the protest left the social media to the streets and has always spoken out against injustice, had gone to the protest ground to show solidarity but got invited to take the center stage in recognition of his personality.
The Gospel music minister took advantage of the platform to raise an altar for Nigeria. What better way to give the reins of the current situation to God than where the fight for better Nigeria is ongoing.
As a patriotic citizen, according to the commandment of Christ, Sammie also led the protesters in the second stanza of the national anthem, which is basically a prayer in itself.
Having led the protesters in worship, Sammie Okposo went further to proclaim a better Nigeria where the killings and police brutality will end, the governance will be for the betterment of the citizens and Nigeria will indeed be great.

Speaking on the new development, The “Sing Hallelujah” crooner said he has always believed in a better Nigeria.
“I believe in Nigeria. God bless Nigeria. Revival is here. Transformation is here #ENDSARSNOW”
The #EndSARS movement started on Twitter around 2017, calling for the banning of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a unit of the Nigerian Police Force. It is a call to end police oppression and brutality in Nigeria. In October of 2020, the movement spiraled from just being an online hashtag into a physical protest to once and for all call on the government to scrap the unit of the police.
The protest has gone global with celebrities and personalities from all across the globe lending their voice to the movement. The movement has also seen the dissolution of the unit which the government intends to redeploy to other arms of the Nigerian police force. Protesters are however against the move.
Speaking on the move by the federal government and IG of police to set up a new anti robbery squad called the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT) to replace the defunct SARS, Sammie Okposo using the acronym said; “SWAT is SARS With Another Title.”
Add to the call that the department be completely dissolved, protesters are also calling for the reform of the Nigerian police force as a whole.
