Born as Juliana Otu, the Ghanaian female gospel artiste is popularly known by the stage name Akosammy. She is married with 3 children; Akosammy is a Deaconess at the Church of Pentecost, Proprietress of Sacred Child Educational Centre – Swedru and a product of Jayee Professional Institute.

Growing up in a Christian home, Akosammy at the age of 13 realised her passion for music and as such, joined youth groups from different churches to praise and worship God. She then moved on to become an active minister by leading the music ministry in her church. With the objective of impacting lives and also fulfilling the will of God, Akosammy chose the gospel genre as her musical career. She is of the view that, her preference for gospel music is the right path because she owes her existence to God and is prepared to use various music styles to the glory of His name.

Akosammy is currently out with her first song titled ‘’FAKYE’’. Fakye in Akan dialect literally translates into English as FORGIVE, is a very powerful song with a strong lyrical content which encourages people to develop the spirit of Forgiveness when they are offended.  When asked of her motivation for the song, Akosammy said ‘’Jesus Christ who died for mankind is a sign of God’s love and forgiveness for our sins. I therefore believe that, God has a strong message for us and as such this song was inspired to encourage people to constantly demonstrate the spirit of forgiveness’’
