24/7 DOXA Content, 22nd October-OVERCOMING SELFISHNESS

FOCAL TEXT: Luke 16 vs 27

BLISSFUL greetings, Cherished one. Our focused text is a statement from the rich man who went to the place of torment according to Jesus’ parable in Luke 16. This rich man had spent all his life in riotous living. First, he wasn’t rich towards God. Again, He didn’t use his wealth to glorify God and His work. Also, he refused to help the poor with his wealth, but rather treated them with disdain. One bad attitude he was trying to change while been tormented was SELFISHNESS and SELF- CENTEREDNESS. You could see that he was now looking for a chance to impact his immediate family positively according to our focal text.

Though this was a good thought, he couldn’t benefit from it at that particular time. By then, it was too late for him to repent personally, however, he realized it wasn’t too late for his family (five brothers) if they could hear and believe the message of the gospel. Beloved, it was too late for the rich man but it may not be too late for you and your family. How many brothers and sisters or relatives or friends do you have who do not know Jesus? Send them this good news about Christ, the Messiah who died for all so that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).

This is your greatest assignment to your world. Cherished one, if you truly love your family, friends and loved one, you would share with them the love of Christ, the Saviour of the world. Don’t just assume they know Christ. Make sure they know Him by allowing God to use you as a vessel. The place of torment is not prepared for you and your loved ones. It’s originally prepared for the devil and his cohorts. So you can refuse any invitation to join them. After praying for the rapid spread of the gospel, get involved and preach it and wins souls for Christ. Heaven has no limited capacity so refuse to be self-centered about the gospel, spread it and win souls. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

I am a minister of reconciliation to my world and family. I take advantage of current seasons and times to minister to them the gospel of the Lord Jesus. I refuse to be selfish and self-centered. The gospel is having a free course and causing salvation to my family, friends and loved ones in Jesus Blessed Name. Amen !
