DON’T “RELAX” IN YOUR COMFORT ZONE [Pt. 1]
Luke 9 vs
>>33. ¶And it came to pass, as they departed from him, Peter said unto Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tabernacles; one for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elias: not knowing what he said.-[KJV] |||||
THERE ARE certain encounters and levels that you reach and sometimes think that’s your highest peak and therefore the need to relax and enjoy. However, no matter where you are now, there is always a next level. Jesus had a glorious encounter with Moses and Elijah when He went to pray with Peter, James and John. The scripture says ” Peter and they that were with him were heavy with sleep: and when they were awake, they saw His glory, and the two men that stood with him. And it occurred as the men were parting from Him that Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is delightful and good that we are HERE; and let us construct three booths or huts…”(-Luke 9:32,33).
In other words, “seeing You with Moses and Elijah is enough for us, let’s settle here“. He had a fore knowledge of who these men were and their exploits in Israel’s history. Therefore, he wanted to establish a temporal kingdom for them not realizing the ultimate and world wide assignment of Jesus. Jesus was destined to save the world not by dwelling in tents but to suffer on the cross. This attitude of Peter calls to mind the Jews who wanted to enthrone Jesus as earthly king (John 6:15).
They didn’t understand spiritual realities that the first coming of the Messiah should be of suffering and the second will be a glorious coming as the reigning King (Mat 16:21). This is an attitude reflecting most people in various fields of life in this world. They love to relax and enjoy their so called little “comfort zone” not realizing the impact they could extend to others. You can be more; you can do more. Refuse to relax in a small comfort zone and reach out for higher heights. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
I DECLARE
In the Name of Jesus, I mount up higher than the eagle. I fly and refuse to get weary. I enlarge my tent and focus. I am set to enjoy the best and first class of God for my life. I settle for greatness in my spiritual, financial and health life. I am the light of the world impacting it by the power of the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah !
Enjoy A Glorious Thursday !
