BE A GOOD EXAMPLE

1. Timothy 4 vs

12.¶Let no one look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in your speech, conduct, love, faithfulness, and purity. ~|NET|

WHEN you refuse to be despised, there is another level you must pursue. And that’s to set a better example for others to emulate. Setting a good example is one key to drawing many to the Kingdom of God. We are admonished to be an example in our speech. That’s learn how to speak right. I Peter 4:11 says “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God”. Moreover, ” Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer everyone. “( Colossians 4:6). Yes, speak as a sanctified vessel of good news, love, peace and unity. Don’t talk to people anyhow. Shun profane talks, hurtful, jesting and cheeky remarks.

Be an example in your CONDUCT; your conduct involves how you carry yourself in your community, workplace, church etc. Thus your manner of life or behaviour should be one that aligns with the character of Christ.You must also prove to others the unfeigned LOVE of Christ in you. People must look at you and understand the love of God in motion. One great man has richly said that “People may not understand your tongues but they will understand your love”. Show love to others even when it’s not convenient.

As a youth, faithfulness should be your garment wherever you find yourself. Be faithful to God and people around you. Stand for the truth, not lies and corruption. Finally, walk in purity. Purity implies exciting reverence. Be pure from every carnality or fault. Cherished one, you can be an example in these virtues because they are resident in you. But it takes much grace, diligence, discipline and the fear of the Lord to manifest for others to see and emulate. Let your generation learn from your good deeds; Because you are the only “best example” they can see physically. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

I DECLARE

I refuse to be despised but I set example in my speech, behaviour, love, faithfulness and purity in the highest order by the power of the Holy Spirit in me. I refuse to live carnally. I choose to live as a sanctified one in Jesus Name. Amen.
