ENJOYING THE TRUE KINGDOM LIFE
Romans 14 vs
17.¶For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.-| KJV |
EVERY KINGDOM has “some things” to offer. What God’s kingdom offers differs from that of darkness. Human kingdom cannot offer you what Divinity gives. The Spirit of God through Apostle Paul unveils a powerful revelation concerning the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is that which emanates from heaven and is also established on earth in the hearts of faithful individuals. Also, he reveals some pillars on which this kingdom operate. He first tells us what the kingdom is not about; it does not consist of meat and drink. This he said in context to the previous verses when he was addressing the issue of some individuals esteeming one day or food above the other.
And he inferred that God’s Kingdom is not based on eating and drinking or any fleshy observation of special days or ceremonies. But the Kingdom of God reveals righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Righteousness is only guaranteed in God’s kingdom. Whoever believes in Christ receives grace and the gift of righteousness which qualifies him to stand before God and also empowers him to live right in God’s sight (Romans 5:17). Another great pillar of this kingdom is PEACE; the inner security, serenity and harmony brought by the redemption of Jesus to every man. The state that puts you in total assurance of God’s love for you to appear before the throne of grace without intimidation, guilt or condemnation (Romans 5:1;8:1).
The last one is JOY in the Holy Spirit. Yes, there is such thing as joy produced by the Holy Spirit. As He sheds His love in your hearts so does he distribute joy unspeakable in you which is not based on the happenings of life (Romans 5:5; 1Peter 1:18). Cherished one, the Kingdom of God is not geared towards a schedule or program of works which is cemented around ceremonial observations, rules and regulations; but rather a lifestyle of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. These virtues reveal the real reflection of God’s kingdom. This is the true life to live in the kingdom of God. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always. Amen!
PRAYER
Thank You gracious and lovely Father for the things that your kingdom offers for my life. Righteousness is now my nature, Your peace is my guide and joy unspeakable has become my lifestyle. I am living the reality of Your kingdom on earth. Glory be to Your name forever in Jesus’ Name ! Amen!
Enjoy A Joyous Friday !
