BODILY EXERCISE PROFITS A LITTLE (Pt. 2)

WE’VE ESTABLISHED some facts and relevance for bodily exercise in our lives. We learnt that the body is an integral part of us which needs care and attention. Today, we are discussing some of the factors that usually affect the body and how to deal with it. Ignorance of these things has caused many to live with some sicknesses. One factor that threatens the health of many knowingly or unknowingly is FATIGUE. Fatigue simply refers to “extreme tiredness resulting from mental or physical exertion”. The number of hours and type of work many find themselves usually have the tendency to cause fatigue. This extreme tiredness is not good for your body.

Another common factor is called STRESS. This simply means “a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances”. Since it brings much pressure on your body, it requires your attention to deal with it. You should relieve yourself off that stress. Find out what really causes that stress and reduce it if not stop it. Again, not having enough REST for your body. The world in which we live now is governed by the principle of work or business. Some folks do not have enough time to rest at all . There is a saying that “rest is wealth”. Having enough rest is a natural medicine to many health problems. Many musicians, preachers, authors and public speakers can testify to this attitude.

Finally, not functioning at your own rated body-capacity. God in His own wisdom has given each of us ability to operate within our body rated capacity. You have yours, I also have mine. Know yours and work within it. For instance, there are those who can work 12hrs a day for weeks, someone may try that and end up in a hospital. Don’t overwork yourself by copying someone’s schedule else you’ll break down. There are certain levels your body can’t function up to. Beloved, physical training has enormous effects on your brain too. It can help keep your mind and body refreshed and intact. Friend, bodily exercise has some profits, discipline yourself to engage in it. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

PRAYER
_Dear Father, thank You for giving me wisdom concerning my body. By wisdom, I build up my body through physical training, for bodily exercise has some value. No sickness has power over my body. I am healthy and strong in spirit,soul and body in Jesus’ Name! Amen!_
