TAKE ADVANTAGE OF GRACE
Romans 6 vs
»»1 & 2.¶What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?-[ KJV]«« |
WHEN THE purpose of a thing is not known abuse is definitely inevitable. In Christ Jesus, everything is given and received for a purpose. For Romans 8:28 affirms that every saint is called according to the purpose of God (not your own purpose). If we are called according to God’s purpose then it means everything we have by virtue of being in Christ is for a glorious purpose. Grace, the aura or supernatural influence or fragrance of God is given to the saints for a godly purpose. Romans 5:17 explicitly says that those in Christ have received abundance of grace (meaning grace is not scarce; Yea, grace is not limited in supply to the saints).
However, it’s expedient we know the essence of this grace we have received from our Lord Jesus Christ and put it to the right use. Therefore, our opening text asks a question and answers it, “Shall we continue in sin that grace must abound ? Certainly No! Hallelujah ! Cherished one, grace does not help anyone to commit evil or sins. This is because we who are dead to sin cannot live in it again The devil is the author of sin. Therefore, you need to take advantage of the grace of God. To take advantage of grace means “to profit from grace or make good use of grace”. And the Spirit shows us how in 2 Peter 1:3, “Grace…be multiplied to you through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” Unless you grow or mature in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, you won’t understand the essence of this grace.
Beloved, grace doesn’t make you worse. If you see you are growing worse than you were, then it means you are not growing or functioning in grace. No matter how bad or corrupt you have been, call out to grace for help (Hebrew 4:16). Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:10 that it was the grace of God that made him who he was. This implies that grace makes one a better person. Grace decorates, adorns and beautifies you. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ is greater than any sin, weakness, challenges or problem. Just take advantage, appropriate it and rely on it to shoot you from one dimension to a higher one. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
I DECLARE
It is by the grace of God that I am what I am and His grace lavished on me is not in vain. I take advantage of this grace. I do not frustrate the grace of God. I am empowered and made better by grace. My thinking, attitude, words and action are seasoned with grace. Sin has no power over me anymore for I am under the influence of grace. The grace propels me from a high dimension to a greater one in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen !_
Enjoy A Blessed Tuesday !
