FAVOURED greetings, Cherished one. Our focal text brings practical ways to refuse being despised. And that’s to becoming a good example for others to emulate. Becoming a good example is one key to drawing many to the Kingdom of God. We are admonished to be an example in our speech (word). That’s learn what and how to speak right. I Peter 4:11 says “If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God”. Moreover, ”Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer everyone. “( Colossians 4:6)._

*Yes, speak as a sanctified vessel of good news, love, peace and unity. Don’t talk to people anyhow.* Shun profane talks, hurtful, jesting and cheeky remarks. Becoming example in word also implies speaking the truth as it is. You can do this as you allow he truth of God’s word to govern your heart and mind. Jesus says in Matthew 12:35 “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.” All good things are sourced from the Word of His grace.

*The Word of God is your “enabling energy” to become a good example to your world of contact. You can’t do that out of self- determination but determination and confidence based on the strength of God’s word.* Many youths are despised because they refuse to become the example they ought to be. When you become an example that contradicts the Word of God, many will despise you. Go and become the example God designed for you. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

_I graciously keep Your words in my heart, mind and mouth which causes me to become all that You’ve designed me to be. I thank You for empowering me to be an example to my world in speech by unleashing seasoned words in Jesus Blessed Name. Amen !_
