GRACE and peace from our Lord Jesus Christ to you, Cherished one. Our focal text unveils that the power of the gospel is manifest in only those who believe. That means everyone who hears the gospel preached must believe, not argue or debate it. In other words, it is not enough to read or hear the gospel, your hearing it must lead you to believe it. It is of utmost importance to note that unless you believe the gospel of Christ you can never enjoy the power of salvation.
The gospel is about the love, kindness, mercy, favour and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, who took the place of all sinners so that sinners would no more be living as sinners or outcasts but become sons and daughters of God ( John 1:12). Many have heard it but not everyone has believed it. The message of the gospel is centred or anchored on Christ and His finished works of love for you. Therefore, it matters the message you hear. Hearing about and believing Abraham or the prophets would not bring you salvation. Motivational or inspirational messages of thinkers and philosophers won’t make you saved. Exciting messages about making it to heaven without Christ won’t make you saved.
Scary or intimidating message about Satan and hell has no power to save you. If you came to Christ because of the message of hell, then you need to hear and believe the real good news. The only authoritative message for salvation is the gospel of Christ. Apostle Peter said “…Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should HEAR the word of the GOSPEL and BELIEVE (Acts 15:7). Friend, tell them to hear and BELIEVE, not hear and argue or debate. Yes, believe in the Person or Lordship of Jesus Christ and His gospel. This is God’s wisdom plan of salvation for all humanity. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

Thank You, Lord Jesus Christ, for giving me the ability and desire to hear and believe You and Your gospel. It is not from my power but the power from Your gospel. I thank You for the grace to proclaim Your gospel to nations. Hallelujah!
