FRUITFUL greetings, Cherished one. Yesterday, we learnt that we are called into one body in Christ. Christ is the head of the Church. Anything without a head cannot function effectively and efficiently. The Head knows the Church more than any pastor or individual. The New Testament Church is the results of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Our focal text unveils how Christ treats His church. Therefore any member of the body of Christ should look at Christ and learn from Him: Christ loved the Church and gave Himself for her.
The truth is that Christ still loves the Church and still pours Himself into the Church. Christ expresses all the virtues or character love to the Church. Christ does not hate the Church as a good husband won’t hate her wife. 1 Corinthians 13 shows us certain lifestyles of love such as patience and kind. Christ exhibits patience and kindness to the Church. Christ will never leave nor forsake His Church. This teaches us that whoever belongs to the body of Christ must also love the Church.
The body should not hate what the Head loves. So if you see anyone who claims to be a Christian and hates the body of Christ, then he is not truly part of the body or he is ignorant of what the Church is about. You protect and defend what you love. You treat and speak well of whoever you love. Do same to the Church because you are the Church. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank You for the glorious Church. I belong to the body of Christ. I am the body of Christ. Christ is my head. I learn to treat the Church the same way my Lord treats her. I graciously love and give myself to the service of the Church in Jesus Blessed Name. Amen!
