BLESSED greetings, Cherished one. One of the prophetic names given to Jesus is the ‘Lamb of God’. This symbolizes His meekness, patience and humility. It also unveiled Him as the sacrificial lamb for the sin of the world. We know a lamb to be calm, gentle and not too violent. *That is why Jesus didn’t resist arrest nor allow His disciples to launch an attack. Like a sheep for the slaughter, He willingly surrendered for our sake.* He said, _“Therefore the Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again” (John 10:17)._
In our focal text, John also revealed the prophetic assignment of the Name “Lamb of God” as one who takes away the sin of the world. He saw by revelation that Jesus was the sacrificial lamb spoken about in the Law and the Prophets (Hebrews 10:5). Beloved, Jesus came to take away the sin of the world, not the sin of the Jews or Israel or selected few. The “sin” is in the singular form; meaning the sin that entered the world when one man disobeyed God in unbelief (Romans 5:13-21).
*He came to take away the sin of the world so that those who believe in Him would not carry it again.* Your faith in Him give you access to this truth else you still carry your sin. Don’t let sin dictate for you because Jesus took away the power of sin to rule over the believer’s life. Do not die in your sin through unbelief; Believe in Christ Jesus now to experience total freedom from sin. The rich grace of our Lord Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
Father, I thank You for sending Jesus to take away the sin of the world. If He took it then I don’t have it. I dominate sin and refuse its dominance over life. My bodily members are yielded to righteousness. Lord; I am Yours forever for Your glory in Jesus Blessed Name. Amen !
