24/7 DOXA Content, 25th August-ACCEPT AND REGARD CORRECTIONS

GLORIOUS greetings Cherished one. We’ve learned that heeding to the right teachings and instructions birthed from the right knowledge is one way to fight poverty. The second part of our focal text says he who regards or accepts reproofs shall be honoured. Since refusing instructions tends to poverty and shame, accepting them plus reproofs tends to an honourable life. Reproofs simply means corrections or rebukes. One area you need correction is your belief systems. For instance, someone who believes God is using poverty to teach him a lesson and to humble him to go to heaven needs correction. This belief system is erroneous and needs to be corrected.

Your belief systems are very powerful because they control your thinking pattern and lifestyle. Allow the word of God to correct or rebuke you to believe that God takes pleasure in your prosperity and takes no honour in your poverty ( Psalm 35:27). We all don’t know it all; we learn to unlearn and relearn. God’s word is the perfect tool to shape or correct our belief systems to affect our thoughts and lifestyle.

Proverbs 3:11 says: _”My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction”._ He who hates instructions and corrections cannot make exploits in life. Ask yourself, what old belief systems, thoughts and lifestyles do I need to be corrected from ? If they are limiting, lead to poverty and impede progress, then they need to be corrected and straightened in the truth; because regarding corrections leads to honour. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
