24/7 DOXA Content, 24th October-DIVINELY EMPOWERED FOR GODLINESS

SHALOM greetings, Cherished one. *Within the glory Christ gave us is the ability for godliness. Godliness is the force or ability of God infused in you to act like God in your personality, character, and attitude.* It is what makes one show reverence to God. It is walking in the love of the Lord. To be godly is to live reverently, loyally, and obediently towards God. Simply, godliness is acting “God-likeness”. Apostle Peter in our focal text reveals that the power of Christ HAS GIVEN US (not will give us) everything necessary for godliness.

*This implies true Christians do not lack the resources or ability to become and live a godly life; because he already has every spiritual resource to manifest, sustain, and perfect godly living.* In other words, you don’t have to live as if God hasn’t given you what it takes to live a godly life. Someone may ask “then why don’t we see many living godly lifestyles? Note that “having a thing is not the same as using it.” Having it means possession; manifesting it will take an effort on your side to come to the knowledge of what you have and embrace by faith to live accordingly.

To live a godly life will not come naturally to you even though you have it; it will require gracious persistence, diligence effort to CONTINUE to walk in the KNOWLEDGE OF HIM (2 Peter 1:3). This will enable you to stand for godliness in your deeds, words and thoughts. And as you yield yourself to His power you will be strengthened for godliness. *Beloved, no one can blame God for any ungodly lifestyle, because He has given us everything necessary for godliness. Step out by faith and walk in godliness.* The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always. Amen!

I DECLARE

I thank my Father for giving me everything that pertains to life and godliness. I am awakened to my full identity and responsibility in Christ. I am empowered by His divine power to live and manifest godliness despite challenges. For I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Hallelujah!
