GRACIOUS greetings Cherished one. In our focal text, Apostle Paul explains why he wasn’t ashamed of the gospel of Christ; because it is the power of God to salvation. In other words, it carries God’s power to usher anyone into salvation. Yes, you can never believe the gospel of Christ and not be transformed. Many in the Church haven’t understood the gospel as a change agent. Jesus opined in Mark 1:15 “… “The time is now! The kingdom of God is near! Repent, and keep believing the gospel !”

*Be persuaded of the good news which is centred on Christ, not on any man, philosophy, good works or personal intellect.* The good news of Christ is that the Righteous Man, Jesus Christ died to save sinners: “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. But God commends his love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:6,8). When you believe the gospel, you are saved from the wrath of God to come (Romans 5:9).

No matter how a person is misbehaving, the gospel of Christ is enough to save him. Do not insult, preach the gospel of love to them. Do not curse and prophesy doom to them, preach Christ to them. Christ’s gospel does not condemn sinners but shows sinners the One who takes away their condemnation. The gospel still transforms a man from every generation, tribe, nation, race and tongue to walk in God’s glory and purposes for his life. Keep on spreading the gospel of Christ as the power of God for salvation. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER

Lord Jesus Christ, I thank You for the power in Your gospel to cause the needed transformation in my life. I believe in the gospel. I stay in the gospel and proclaim it to the world. I thank You that many are being saved as I preach Your gospel. Amen!
