24/7 DOXA Content, 20th December-GRACE FOR OBEDIENCE

FRUITFUL greetings Cherished one. BY the ultimate grace of God, we are learning the dynamics of our faith life which will help us grow and walk as matured ones not infants or “nepios”. Living by faith is very vital because it is the required lifestyle of the righteous (Rom 1:17; Heb 10:38). The holy Bible unveils to us that many virtues complement our faith life. In other words, other principles come together to boost our faith life. One vital force is obedience. Obedience implies willing compliance or submission to the God and His word.

It involves taking corresponding actions according to the nature of faith. *Note, faith is not a “mental assent” but a an active spiritual consent to the word of God.* Beloved, great men of faith obeyed God and His instructions even in the old testament. It is written concerning our Lord that He obeyed even to the death of the cross (Philippians 2:8). He knew God’s will about His life but had to submit to God for that will to come to pass. Friend, our focal text reveals that we have received grace for obedience through Christ Jesus. Hallelujah! This means we now have the ability to walk as obedient children, not disobedient ones.

In the New Testament, we don’t just obey, but we rather DO THE WORD. We are called to be doers of the word (James 1:22-25). Condition your mind in this way. You are not part of the disobedient generation. No! The seed of obedience is planted in your recreated human spirit. You can’t just rebel against God and Word except by ignorance and immaturity. Having this consciousness will guide you to walk in obedience to the word of God. Dearly beloved, your obedience to the faith in Christ brings glory to His Name among all the nations and to yourself. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always. Amen!
