LOVELY greetings, Cherished one. One of the most popularly used words is ‘’love’’. So many people have misdefined it. Some abuse it. Others misuse it. Some have been deceived, manipulated, influenced in the name of love. However, love should be defined as God intends it; not as human beings define it. *This is because humanity is not the standard for truths or fallacy, good or evil or moral or immoral.* It is God who rightly determines the parameters of what is true or false, right or wrong, moral or immoral.
So God’s definition of love is what holds not what customs or cultures define. In other words, if it does not fall within God’s definition, then you can ‘’ drop that thing’’. Our focal text unveils to us the kind of love that God demonstrates towards us. It is called “His love”. Yes, God’s kind of love, not men’s love. This kind of love has names such as “agape love, unconditional love, surpassing love, excess love, immeasurable love, impeccable love’’. It is rightly called ‘’the God kind of love” because it comes from God; and God is love personified. (1 John 4:7,8).
Also, it is only God who can express it in unlimited capacity and highest perfection. It is a kind of love that sees and concentrates on the best of you and the best in you. This is why you must accept God’s love that He demonstrates towards you. Accepting that God loves you will change how you see people. Accepting God’s love will help you walk in love toward others. God is love and He still demonstrates His love towards you. Therefore walk in His love and demonstrate love towards others. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.
PRAYER
I thank You Papa God for the continuous demonstration of Your love towards me. I am born of God. So I am born of love. Your Spirit in my heart has shed Your love abroad within me. I receive more grace to walk in love with You and people in Jesus Lovely Name. Amen !
