FRUITFUL greetings, Cherished one. Yesterday, we learned the need to have an authority figure in your spiritual journey as a Christian. This subject should be taken seriously for those who want to reach higher heights in life. God is not against you having a father in the Lord. For instance, God is alive forevermore, but He gave you biological parents to take care of you and to nurture you from childhood to adulthood. The same is true in the realms of the spirit. Our focal text reveals another essence of the father figure.

The Apostle said, “though I am absent, but present with you in the spirit.” So spiritual father can be present with you in the spirit. He has a way to engage your affairs in the spirit realm, even though he may not be physically present with you. He acts as “spiritual covering” in one way or the other. His engagement with you in the spirit causes him to rejoice when he sees your order and steadfastness in the faith. Yes, a true spiritual father rejoices over you as you walk in the truth of God’s word. He becomes excited about your growth and communicates to you some essentials of maturity.

Yes, he also beholds or observes your order. Thus, he promotes orderliness and decency in you. They do not want you to be rebellious and act disorderly. Jesus, after the resurrection, called His disciples “Children” in John 21:5 and ordered them for the next phase of their life and ministry. Remember, it is not only the rejection of God that leads to the penury of mankind but also the rejection of an authority figure. Submit to one who will observe your order and decency in the firmness of the faith in Christ. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
Precious Father, I thank You for setting over me a father to build observe my order and decency and firmness in the faith. I receive the grace to humbly submit to learn and know more from the authority figure. By so doing I will be built up and be encouraged to stand firm in the faith in Jesus Mighty Name.

PRAYER ALERT- Pray that God’s Spirit would help you to submit to live in order and decency.
