FAVOURED greetings, Cherished one. Paul and Silas on their missionary trip were persecuted and imprisoned. *But they prayed and sang praises unto the Lord whiles in jail.* _”Suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. And the keeper of the prison, awaking from sleep and seeing the prison doors open, supposing the prisoners had fled, drew his sword and was about to kill himself. But Paul called with a loud voice, saying, “Do yourself no harm, for we are all here.”_
The officer fell down trembling before Paul and Silas upon seeing such a marvellous miracle. He searched within himself and thought that only the Saved could experience such a miracle. So he asked, “sirs what must I do to be saved”. This is the most important question everyone should ask on earth. Many have asked and received the answer but many are yet to ask. They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you will be saved, you and your household” (Acts 16:31).
This is all that he needed to do to be saved, “BELIEVE”. Yes, believe in JESUS CHRIST alone. In the matters of salvation, it is not about your works; it is about His Person and works done for you (Ephesians 2:8,9). And your belief in Him gives you access to enjoy His works of grace (Romans 5:2). Those who receive and believe in Jesus are giving the right to become legal Children of God (John 1:12). Beloved, the greatest sin on earth is refusing to believe in Jesus as Lord and Saviour of your life. Make that great decision of believing in Jesus now. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank You for Your glorious redemption plan for me. I believe in Jesus as my Lord and Saviour. I believe He died and rose again from the dead. I openly confess Jesus is my Lord and Saviour. I have Jesus and I will live for Him alone. Hallelujah!_
