FOCAL TEXT: Psalm 20 vs 7►►”Some trust in and boast of chariots and some of horses, but we will trust in and boast of the name of the Lord our God.”~| AMP |_____________________________________
FAVOURED greetings Cherished one. ONE great virtue that makes every relationship strong is trust. Where there is no trust, there is no rest. Lack of trust breeds misunderstanding, chaos, instability and insecurity. Some trust in their abilities, knowledge, wisdom and strength; but the New Creations in Christ is destined to trust in the Name of the Lord. For God has highly exalted His Son, and given Him a Name above every name (Philippians 2:9). This is a Name you can’t afford not to trust or rely upon because all others are “sinking sand” and fade away with time.
Trusting in His Name will always give you a direction in life (Proverbs 3:5). From our focal text, King David had been a mighty man of war, even from his childhood. He fought and killed beast, lions, bears etc with his bare hands or using “insignificant” weapons like what he used to kill Goliath (1 Sam 17:34,35,45 ). In human history, just a mere stone couldn’t kill a giant of almost ten feet tall, but it worked in David’s time because of the Name of the Lord ( 1 Samuel 17:4,49 ). The truth is he didn’t just use the Name of the Lord as a mere religious acrobatics or slogan. He knew, trusted, relied and boasted in the Name of the Lord.
