FOCAL TEXT: Ephesians 4:26►►”Go ahead and be angry. You do well to be angry—but don’t use your anger as fuel for revenge. And don’t stay angry. Don’t go to bed angry.~|MSG|______________________________________
GLORIOUS greetings, Cherished one. According to Galatians 5:20, anger is one of the works of the flesh; meaning it emanates from the emotions of the flesh, not the Holy Spirit. Today, our focal text admonishes us not to stay angry. In other words, do not go to bed angry. *This is very vital because the fruit of anger bears no righteousness.* Some folks hold on to the pains and hurt people have caused them and they carry on the anger for days and even months.
*Let your anger have a short period because you are living with humans who are vulnerable in character and attitude.* Apostle Paul continued our focal text by saying _“Don’t give the Devil that kind of foothold in your life” (Ephesians 4:27)._ Thus, whenever you stay angry, you are giving a place or foothold to the devil to take advantage of it. This is why some people kill or murder when they are angry.
Others also destroy properties they have bought with huge sums of money or disconnect from long-lasting relationships. Beloved, you have the grace in Christ to help you refrain from anger. *Never give the devil an opportunity to master your emotions. You own your emotions, master them by the love of God shed abroad in your heart.* Yes, we are living in a wicked generation but be careful not to stay angry. The rich grace of our Lord Jesus Christ abounds towards you always.

PRAYER
_Cherished Father, I thank You for the fruits that I bear through the power of Holy Spirit in me. Anger is not one of them. Therefore I refuse to stay angry. I release anyone I have kept bound through uncontrolled anger. Help me to express Your love in my heart to others who may make me angry in Jesus Blessed Name!_
