FOCAL TEXT: Hebrews 13:5►► ”Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be content with what you have, for God has said, “I will never leave you or abandon you.”~|ISV|______________________________________
BLESSED greetings, Cherished one. Note, when God talks about satisfaction or contentment, He speaks as opposed to attitudes of selfishness, envy, jealousy, greed, self-centeredness and lack of appreciation. Thus, He doesn’t speak of contentment as against having more or increasing in wealth or abundance using godly means. As part of God’s desire for you is to put all your trust satisfaction or contentment in Him, not in any substance. Because Jesus said “…Beware! Keep yourselves from covetousness, for a man’s life doesn’t consist of the abundance of the things which he possesses” (Luke 12:15).
You have to be content with whatever resource you have in order to utilize it in maximum capacity. Refuse to envy others because of what they have. Your ability to be satisfied with what you have means you can have the peace, serenity and strength to handle more. Apostle Paul admonishes on how he lives his life. He said “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content” (Philippians 4:11). So you ought to learn to be content with whatever you have in whatever stage you are.
